I'm using a heater cable i know its got to be few degrees high then the water my tank is heated to 24c what temp should i have my heater cable can any one tell me best temp for best plant growth

I'm using a heater cable i know its got to be few degrees high then the water my tank is heated to 24c what temp should i have my heater cable can any one tell me best temp for best plant growth hi SC and welcome to ptf i dont use HCs to be honest and wasnt aware they could be set at different temps, its usually the wattage of the cable thats sets the temp. although a contraversal subject they are designed to give only a very gentle heat through the substrate through convection. although in a norml fish tank temp ranges 24/27 plants do better in the lower end of the temp range but really get this temp because of the fish we keep in the same tank. but as fish adjust to differet climates so plants adjust to slightly higher temps. HTH

Welcome to the forum! And one of the best temperatures is 72-78 degrees
