Can anyone tell me what the ideal PH would be for a community tank, at the moment mine is running at between 7.4 & 7.8 is that ok or not ?

hi bikerman, on average pH 7 is best. But it is better to try and get the “fish to suit the water” instead of adjusting the water to the fish. That being said there is room for the fish to acclimatise to the water you have. E.G. if you purchase fish locally they will have roughly the same water quality as you do so the fishes over all stress will be reduced.
I hope this helps but if not please just ask and we shall answer.
