ooooookk i think i need some help with breeding angels?
my angels have been acting real strange over the last week or so. it started with one of the stripped and the gold angel going head to head in a battle for 24hrs. it got that bad i had to put goldie in a net for 10 mins to keep them apart. let him out & straight back like a mig jet fighter going in for the kill. back in the net for 30mins. that calmed the down. the stripped angel now has a good 1/4 of his tail missing due to the battle. cutting through a long story the two stripped angels now seem to control one end of the tank, not aggresivly but shoving away most of the other fish and NO WAY does goldie get any were near that end of the tank. goldie & the damaged striped angel still go head to head during the day and do end up in a battle now & again. would i be correct in saying that the two stripped angels are pairing off to mate?

is it one of the pair of striped angels that has its fins damaged? Yes, you would be correct in saying that the two stripped angels have paired off.

yep one of the striped and goldie. they like a pair of mig jets in combat they actually lay on their sides when they go in at each other. fantastic to watch them. the other thing i was going to ask is what do the spawn on. will the spawn on leaves or does it have to be a flat surface lke slate or somthing?

Angels will spawn on almost anything, a piece of slate is perfect. but it needs to be at 30-45 degree angle, not flat. They will spawn nearly every week. but if they don't have a tank to themselfs they will eat the eggs every time.
